Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Anne W. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English diploma and Communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I enjoyed every moment." I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In Italy the chef acquired an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of children who face difficulties. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador which promotes education about children with diabetes. As an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to share her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne, throughout her entire experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to be in a position to share her passion for food with other people.
