Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best eateries located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking early on. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful learning experience. It was impossible to learn, do or work enough. When I graduated at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It made a huge effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with challenges. She is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share her culinary passion and profession. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has always said I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share what I love most for life with people.
