Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. She states "I loved being a Culinary Institute of American student. I enjoyed every moment." I just couldn't get enough out of the experience. After graduating of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to enhance living conditions for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of childhood diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor, she travels around the US to talk about her passion for cooking as well as her professional career. Anne in all her culinary journey has stated that it is a privilege to be able to share this passion for food with other people.
